• The Bharatiya Janata Party is committed to ensure the all-round development of Belagavi North Assembly Constituency. We assure you that we will work with integrity and sincerity to fulfil the long held dreams and aspirations of the people of Belagavi. In this endeavour, we promise to do the following:
• Fast track the projects under the Smart City Programme. Implement intelligent traffic management to provide priority to bus lanes and non-motorized transport. Decongest the traffic in the City area by constructing the ring road
• Accelerate the construction of the first and third gate railway over bridge
• Provide connectivity between Gandhinagar Main Road and the Railway Station to ease traffic congestion
• Develop an integrated public transport system addressing all modes of transport
• Make recommendations to the Ministry of Railways to increase the frequency of trains between Bengaluru and Belagavi
• Implement the new Minimum Support Price Policy of Government of India, as announced by Honourable PM Narendra Modi
• Promote dairy farming and set up milk collection mechanisms in the area
• Investigate the option of Bauxite mining in the area without causing adverse impact to the environment
• Conduct an extensive study of mining Uranium in Deshnoor without compromising the safety and risks to the groundwater
• Provide necessary infrastructure and incentives to attract investments in the IT sector in Belagavi
• Provide incentives to attract investments for setting up companies and manufacturing industries in Belagavi
• Provide adequate parking facilities for heavy transport vehicles
• Construct an integrated multi-level parking facility in the City Centre to ease parking problems
• Restore Belagavi Fort and provide amenities to boost tourism in the area
• Create a heritage park in the Vaccination Depot Grounds. This park would be an integrated campus to promote heritage, tourism development while maintaining lung space for the City
• Provide Health Fitness Centres with proper screening and treatment facilities in every ward
• Improve the standard of education and provide better digital infrastructure and facilities to Government Schools
• Ensure regular supply of safe and clean drinking water in all wards
• Coordinate efforts with all the departments to ensure that the power cables are relocated underground
• Improve connectivity and increase the frequency of buses
• Increase passenger amenities and renovate the Belagavi City Railway Station. Install a Big Charka at the entrance of the Railway Station to symbolize Mahatma Gandhi’s visit to the Belagavi Station
• Fast track the Bangalore Mumbai Economic Corridor (BMEC) to enable the creation of industrial hubs in the region
• Create an environment for companies and large scale manufacturing industries to invest in Belagavi to generate employment in large numbers
• Set up international standard infrastructure for sports and youth programs
