The Assembly constituency of Belgaum was first as Belgaum Urban and Rural, then later it was divided into THREE, Belgaum I, II and Belgaum city. Then Bagewadi(Belgaum) and Belgaum and then the latest Belagavi Uttar, Belagavi Dakshin and Belagavi Rural.
