List of MLAs from Belgaum Belagavi since the first Assembly until now

This is an exhaustive list of the names of the Members of the Legislative Assembly elected by the voters since the first Assembly session to the 14th session which terms ends on May 28, 2018. All the data has been sought from the official website of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly.

The Assembly constituency of Belgaum was first as Belgaum Urban and Rural, then later it was divided into THREE, Belgaum I, II and Belgaum city. Then Bagewadi(Belgaum) and Belgaum and then the latest Belagavi Uttar, Belagavi Dakshin and Belagavi Rural.

As many as 3 MLAs were elected THRICE by the voters namely Malagi Shivaputrappa Channabasappa – Janata Party/Janata Dal(United), N O Samaji – Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti (MES) & B B Sayanak – Independent (IND).

As many as 6 MLAs were elected TWICE by the voters namely Feroz Nuruddin Sait – Indian National Congress (INC), Sanjay B Patil – Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Abhay Patil – Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kudachi Ramesh Lakshman – Indian National Congress (INC), V S Patil – Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti (MES) & B R Sunthankar – Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti (MES).

  1. Well Educated mens and women’s are not given opportunity in politics. Politics meas power, money, property making opportunity — can anyone tell the list who has not made money by entering into politics. Very few may be.. but fact is Bitter.
