Abhay Patil, BJP MLA Belagavi south in August 2018 had said that the state government had shifted the Ayush medicine manufacturing unit from the Vaccine Depot premises at Tilakwadi, Belagavi to Bengaluru.
On the sidelines of the function at KLE convention centre Health and Family Welfare Minister Sivananda Patil said that the Ayush medicine manufacturing unit which is proposed to be set up in Belagavi will be started here and the proposal to shift to Bengaluru has been scrapped.
The Ayush medicine manufacturing unit would be set up here only in Belagavi, the minister added.
