Father Francis of Saint Joseph’s ‘The Worker Church’ on Bauxite road was attacked on Saturday evening and now the police have arrested Mohammad Nizam Phulwale (age 20) a resident of a slum in Vaibhav Nagar.
Phulwale had a sword in his hand but his intention was to rob, the police said.
He had planned to enter the church and steal but at that point, Father Francis came and he was terrified by seeing the sword and he escaped.
The police in its investigations have revealed that the sole intention was a robbery.
