Being the largest district, Belagavi is like the crown of the state. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai assured that the government will provide assistance for the development of irrigation, industry, and agriculture in this district.

He said that the government will announce a special plan in the coming days for the comprehensive progress of North Karnataka. He was speaking at a function at Ramdurg.

Regarding the visit of Maharashtra Ministers to Belagavi on December 6, CM Bommai indirectly hinted at the issuance of the prohibitory order. The CM gave the hint while talking to the media at a Ramadurga taluk of Belagavi district.

The chief secretary of our state has already sent a fax message to the chief secretary of Maharashtra. It is not appropriate for them to come when there is such a situation between the two states.
