Bengaluru(BBMP) and Belagavi emerge as the top two districts in India for administering the highest number of vaccine doses during the country-wide Vaccination Drive drive held on Friday.
While BBMP administered 4,11,117 doses Belagavi was second in the country with 2,60,180 as per the latest Cowin data.
DC MG Hiremath congratulated all the staff involved in the vaccination drive for making it a success.
Even though the target of 3 lakh doses was not met, getting to 2.6 lakhs is not an easy job.
He thanked the officials and staff of Revenue, Health, Rural Development, Urban Local Bodies, Women and Child Development Department for their achievement.
He also thanked all the representatives, doctors, staff of various hospitals, various associations and the public who helped to make the mega vaccine a success.
