The exhibition room has been built to introduce Gandhiji’s struggle for survival, the quest for truth, and the various aspects of life on the path of non-violence through digital media.

In addition, there is room to set up a new library in the new Gandhi Bhavan to make it easy for people to access books and research works that focus on the life of Mahatma Gandhi.

In the outer courtyard, a grand statue of Mahatma Gandhiji is installed. Another bronze statue is installed in front of the entrance.

On the other side of the courtyard is a set of attractive plaques reflecting the scene of the Dandi Yatra led by Mahatma Gandhiji.

“We are planning to open a digital display room and a library in the coming days,” Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations Department Gurunath Kadbur said.

The Department of Information and Public Relations is building such places in district centers across the state, with the intention of continuing the activities of Mahatma Gandhi’s livelihood by establishing Gandhi Bhavan in each district.

Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai recently opened the Gandhi Bhavan in the Davangere district.

Similarly, Gandhi Bhavan was built in Bellary, Dharwad and other districts.

The Gandhi Bhavan will be the platform for propagating Mahatma Gandhi’s ideology, which has embraced the principle of Truth, Peace and Non-violence throughout life.
