Belagavi had the highest number of pending cases — 1,072. The other districts that posted high pendency rates were Tumakuru (880 cases), Kalaburagi (781 cases), and Hubballi (571 cases).
Bengaluru city police have walked away with the top slot as far as performance on verification for passports is concerned, but the Bagalkot police are also in the reckoning. Though they had the same average number of days as the Bengaluru police — 12 days — to complete verification within 21 days, and had zero pendency, Bengaluru Regional Passport Office (RPO) officials acknowledged that the numbers the Bengaluru police dealt with were far higher.
Thanks to Mr Shinde, the man who is in charge for passport verification for whole Belgaum district. If passport applicants pay him bribe he will process the file fast or else it will take 2-3 months.
If you’re not able to verify your passport then visit SP (Superintendent of Police) Office at Belgaum.
Show message to them, which you’re received from Police Station or Passport authority then they’ll tell you to visit Passport cell.
Passport cell will recommend verifying at the local area and local constables will reject and tell them that you have visited SP Office and why can’t be done then they’ll verify…
Don’t pay even single rupees for them… It’s their duty…
Mr Shinde is in charge of passport cell in SP office. He is having hundreds of pending passport verification files with him. And when applicants approach to him regarding their pending passport verification then he demands money. And in some cases he demands 3-5 thousand rupees to complete the verification and sent to passport office Bangalore.

SP office Belagavi are very negligent and currupt they don’t verify address easily and demand money. Whom to contact?
