Basappa Laxman Vaddagol aged 23 who has been blind since childhood has been selected for the national team in the B1 category, and will play in the world cup organised in Pakistan and Dubai between January 7 to 21.
He is currently working as the SDA in the gram panchayat office in Markandey Nagar and he is an all-rounder.
He has been encouraged by the Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled to play cricket since 2013. He also has three brothers who are also blind.
Bassappa will represent India and nine teams from the world will be participating the matches.
