With its growing population the city corporation with a crunch in its man force now plans to induct new machinery which will take care of handling around 200 tonnes of garbage created every day.
Tenders have been floated for the purchase of 3.5 Cum Capacity compactor container, Auto tipper, plastic shredding machine, 1.1 Cum pressed steel container compatible for Compactor, HCV mounted Sewer Cleaning Jetting cum Suction Machine (Combination Machine ) of 8,000 ltr capacity (3,000 ltr for suction and 5,000 ltr for jetting).
The above tenders value is approximately Rs.76,50,000. The last date for submission of tenders is July and hence the new machines could be functional only by October 2013.
