Many vaccine beneficiaries in the region have said that from April 7, they started getting messages that they have completed the course by receiving second doses without actually getting them.
Miss Sanjana B got an SMS that she received her 2nd dose at Vantamuri UPHC Workpl Belagavi, on 08 Oct 2021 while she is doing her MBBS she was shocked to get the SMS as she never went to get the jab today.
Narendra Shah aged 77 was also surprised when he got an SMS that he has been given the second dose and surprisingly this was also at Vantamuri UPHC Workpl Belagavi.
Both of them have downloaded the certificates which have doctors, who injected them the first dose, confirming that the second has also been given.
It is still not clear as to why this has happened and the best way would be to approach the Vantamuri PHC and ask the Doctor in charge as to how the vaccine was administered.
Sadiq was surprised when he got the SMS that his mother who is not very mobile got the second dose. He hurriedly called home to verify as to how was she able to go to the PHC and then he realized that someone else has just entered their mobile number and hence the certificate has been generated.
There have been also instances where the vaccination has been done but the recipient hasn’t received the SMS confirmation and hence they can’t download the certificate.
SOME FRAUDSTERS ARE SENDING SUCH MESSAGES AND NOT TO BE RESPONDED. THEY ARE HACKING YOUR MOBILE IF YOU RESPOND, DATA FROM YOUR MOBILE WILL BE STOLEN. BE CAREFUL AND CAUTIOUS.
