Bosch Ltd. inaugurated a solar project at Yaragatti village of Belagavi district on Saturday. The plant will supply power exclusively to Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru, which is about 460 km away, reports the Hindu.

Built over 70 acres, the plant can generate 14.4 MW of solar power. This is the second unit dedicated to supplying power to BIAL, after the 2.94-MW installation by Bosch at the car park area near BIAL, functioning since May 2017.

  1. It is an initiative by Bosch and BIAL, not by Government. If two companies come together for a good cause, Govt cannot put bottlenecks. Good work.
