The Congress party has called for a Bharat Bandh on Monday to protest against the skyrocketing prices of petrol and diesel across the country. The party stated that the steady increase in fuel prices and excise duties on them are the concerns, also, accused the ruling BJP government of fleecing the common man. The JD(s) has given its support for the bandh call. The Bandh Call is from 6 AM to 4 PM.
The KSRTC Staff and Workers Association, Tempo and maxi cabs association, Karnataka Rakshane Vedike have given their support along with JD(S).
Deputy Commissioner Belagavi Ziaullah has declared a holiday on Monday due to the Bharat Bandh call.
