As many as 25 students from Std 8-10 were seen hiding their hands when the teacher in school in Camp area saw some kind of drawings/carvings on the hand and later came to know that this could be the Blue whale challenge.

The teacher immediately took the students to Principal and their parents were informed about the same.

The Blue Whale game or Blue Whale Challenge is believed to be a suicide game wherein a group of administrators or a certain curator gives a participant a task to complete daily — for a period of 50 days — the final of which is the participant committing suicide. Participants are expected to share photos of the challenges/tasks completed by them.

Many parents did not that know their child had drawn something on the arm and they were trying to hide something but they never realized it could be the Blue whale game.

There were markings made of blade, which shocked the teacher. Infact after this the other parents also looked very worried.

Experts said parents and schools can play an important role in putting an end to these deaths by simple methods of surveillance and taking care of teenagers’ mental health.

  1. Have professional counselors talk to all the students. Kids need to go out and play. A Lack of social interaction and avenues for games is letting them into such things. No need to create a huge panic.
