BUDA acquires 131 acres land in Kanbargi

The ownership of 131 acres of land in Kanbargi for Scheme no.61 now rests with the Belagavi Urban Development Authority (BUDA). The process was commenced 13 years ago but the land acquisition could not be completed and now the 131 acres land has been handed over by the farmers to BUDA.

Heavy police presence was also kept during the process.

Commissioner of BUDA Preetam Nasalapure along with Police Inspector B R Gaddekar and staff reached BUDA scheme number 61 at Kanabargi on Wednesday.

The BUDA scheme No.61 is spread across 160 acres of land, farmers of 105 acres have already given consent to BUDA for the layout on the basis of a 50:50 sharing basis. While the others had approached the court.
