Of all the Indian monuments, forts and palaces are most fascinating. Most of the Indian forts were built as a defense mechanism to keep the enemy away.
The BUDA also took up this challenging work building replica and a garden to depict the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at the Shivaji Garden in Shahpur way back in November 2012 and work should have been completed by April 2013.
In those days a fort was built over 25-30 years and here we have another example of how the Govt. is spending lakhs to build a garden where the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj would be depicted. The Govt is not leaving any stone unturned and taking its own time to finish the work so that this too can be a masterpiece and can see through history. Already 7 years have passed and the same is not yet ready.
The work stopped, the laser fountain, sound system everything was in place by October 2013, but the project was delayed, for reasons only known to BUDA as it is doing the said project. In June 2016 a new tender was floated by BUDA to repair this unused laser fountain but it got no bidders and still, nothing is moving forward for this.
Now again BUDA has floated 3 tenders –
Development of Shivcharitre Providing Digital Cinema Processor QSC / Dolby Wireless Handheld Microphone Sennheiser Wireless Lapel Microphone Sennheiser and Accessories at Shivaji Garden Belagavi – Value- Rs.10,39,934.00
Development of Shivshrushti Providing Weather resistant subwoofer, Sound processor, power amplifier, channel mixer, single rack space blu ray player and 20 AMP power conductor Furman at Shivaji Garden Belagavi – Value Rs.24,87,940.32
Development of Shivshsrushti Providing weather Resistant loudspeaker for LCR LT 9702 WR Bose and Outdoor Loudspeaker for surround panaray 802 IV at Shivaji Garden Belagavi Value – Rs.24,17,634.74
So the total cost of the three tenders comes to 59,45,509.06 (59 Lakhs) and we never know when this will be completed.
