The wholesale vegetable market is more of a dump yard of dirt than anything else and after numerous representations to the cantonment, finally the Cantonment has issued a EOI (Expression of Interest) for the redevelopment 3.64 acres of current land at wholesale vegetable market with modern shopping and sufficient parking.
The main aim would be augment more revenue and also provide more amenities.
The new market is intended to be on self financing basis and leased out to individuals for a 30 year period on monthly rentals.
In order to assess the demand for shops EOI has been called for which can be submitted by June 30, 2103.
