The three parking spaces provided by the City Corporation Belagavi at Bapat Galli, Club road and APMC road will now charge ₹ 20 for 3 hours instead of the ₹ 30 charged earlier, reports the Sakal.
For the next 3 hours ₹ 20 would be charged.
Only the APMC road has a two-wheeler parking provision where the charges are ₹10 for 3 hours.
New contractors have been awarded the contracts now and they will have to abide by these new rates.
These are the only 3 designated parking lots by the City corporation. The one at Dharmveer Sambhaji Maharaj Chowk belongs to the Cantonment Board, and so is the parking next to Lingraj College, Police lines road.
Various complaints of charging more and harassment have been reported earlier as well at these parking lots.
