Lokayukta sleuths apprehended a senior deputy registrar of Chikkodi and two other persons while they accepted a bribe on Tuesday.
Senior deputy registrar GP Shivaraju, his assistant Hussain Imamsab Rehmanbhai, and computer operator Sandeep Shankar Patil were all taken into custody.
Lokayukta SP Yashoda Vantagudi conducted the raid.
According to a press release, Shivaraju had demanded Rs 30,000 from Raju Paschapure of Ichalakaranji in Maharashtra for the registration of property documents pertaining to a property he had purchased in Donewadi village. Raju had already paid the government fees and reported the incident to the Lokayukta.
