The ministry has conceived to start the Post Office Passport Seva Kendra at Chikkodi in January. Presently, people of Chikkodi and surrounding areas must travel to the Belagavi POPSK or Hubballi Passport Seva Kendra to get a passport, reports the TOI.
R M Ghorpade, superintendent of Chikkodi head post office, told TOI that he has received the order regarding the POPSK. “We have sufficient space to start the POPSK. The inspection, electrical works, and training to the staff are yet to happen,” he said, adds the TOI.
Another good news and decision from authorities, It will be easy for the citizens of Chikkodi and around the villages and cities for applying for new passports and renewing of old passports. It is also good for BGM seva kendra will be less crowded.
