Cinema halls, gyms, swimming pools now 100% occupancy allowed

From Saturday 5th February 100 percent occupancy will be allowed in theatres, yoga centers, gyms and swimming pools,” Health Minister K Sudhakar said speaking to the media.

He further added consumption of food and beverages inside the movie hall is prohibited.

All the people visiting such places need to be doubly vaccinated.

Ban on Rallies, dharnas to continue and the maximum persons allowed for functions, marriages remains the same, 200 for indoors and 300 for outdoors.

The said decision was taken after the hospitalization has dropped to 2% in the state

1. Cinema halls/multiplexes/theatres/rangamandiras/auditorium are permitted to function with 100% of its seating capacity strictly adhering to COVID appropriate behaviour and complying to the conditions stipulated as below:

a. The prescribed seating capacity shall not be exceeded.

b. Only those with two doses of COVID 19 vaccination/fully vaccinated persons will be allowed entry.

c. All persons shall be asymptomatic.

d. All persons will be checked at the entrance for fever using thermal scanner and hand sanitizer applied.

e. All persons should compulsorily wear N-95 masks (other masks not recommended) throughout and organizers shall monitor compliance to compulsory wearing of face mask at all times including during the show.

f. The hall and the rest rooms shall be sanitized after every show.

Gyms and Yoga centers permitted to function with 100% of its capacity strictly adhering to COVID 19 appropriate behaviour and complying to the conditions stipulated as below:

a. The prescribed capacity shall not be exceeded.

b. Only those with two doses of COVID 19 vaccination/fully vaccinated persons will be allowed entry.

c. All persons shall be asymptomatic.

d. All persons will be checked at the entrance for fever using thermal scanner and hand sanitizer applied.

e. Wherever possible, the activity shall be conducted outdoors and in the open, without any complaints from others.

f. A physical distance of 2 meters (6 feet) shall be maintained between the persons.

g. The hall and the rest rooms shall be sanitized after every session/batch.

3. Swimming pools permitted to operate with 100% of its capacity strictly adhering to conditions stipulated as below:

a. The prescribed capacity shall not be exceeded.

b. Only those with two doses of COVID 19 vaccination/fully vaccinated persons will be allowed entry.

c. All persons shall be asymptomatic.

d. All persons will be checked at the entrance for fever using thermal scanner, and hand sanitizer applied.

e. A physical distance of 2 meters (6 feet) shall be maintained.

f. The change rooms and the rest rooms shall be sanitized after every session/batch.

The concerned Local Authorities shall make surprise visit to the above premises to ensure compliance to the conditions stipulated above. Any person/organizers/owners violating these measures will be liable to be proceeded against as per the provisions of Section 5l to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, and the Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act-2020 besides legal action under Section l88 of the IPC, and other legal provisions as applicable
