Deputy commissioner Belagavi Nitesh Patil said that a compensation of five lakh rupees has been immediately released to the heirs of a young man who died on the spot after a huge tree fell near the RTO circle.
Rakesh Lagamappa Suladhala (27), a resident of Siddanahalli, Tummaraguddi village, Belagavi taluk, on Tuesday (September 13) of died when a huge tree fell due to rain and wind while he was riding a bike near the Maratha Mandal School.
After receiving the post-mortem report from BIMS, the amount of five lakh rupees compensation was immediately transferred to the axis bank account of Halavva Lagamappa Suladhala, the mother of the deceased youth, from Belagavi Tehsildar’s office.
The DC expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased youth Rakesh Lagamappa Suladhala.
