MP Smt Mangala Angadi said the Belagavi city’s railway station upgradation works should be completed by the end of September 2022. she instructed the same to SWR while on an inspection visit to the station.
Speaking in a meeting of officials after inspecting the development works at various stages of the city’s railway station, she said that the work should be completed within the scheduled time. Delays of any sort will not be allowed.
The various works including construction of G+3 storey building, installation of an elevator, parking system, platform, 1,2,3 and 4 along with improvement works, construction of coaching depot-pitline, entrance through the second gate to be carried out at railway station through railway main entrance are nearing completion. She asked the contractors to speed up other allied small works so that all works can finish by the deadline.
Cleanliness should be monitored at the railway station and in the train coaches. Passengers waiting for the train at the station should be approached and the problem should be heard. 90% of the works at the railway station have been completed. The pending works should be completed by the end of the month, she added.
Request to madam, the deadline for 3rd gate over bridge is also been over delayed and no one bothers, it’s on the mercy and will of the contractor to do it…..
A request to also try and complete the first phase… don’t know or expect… the remaining half will ever be done?
