In a sudden U-turn, social worker and activist Dinesh Kallahalli has decided to withdraw his complaint against the former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi.

It may be noted that Kallahalli had approached Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Kamal Pant and demanded a detailed probe into the alleged sex scandal.

Meanwhile, even as Jarkiholi tendered his resignation from the B S Yediyurappa cabinet on Wednesday, citing moral grounds, the police are yet to find any clues about the woman purportedly seen in the videos.

On Sunday however sources have said that Kalahalli through his advocate will approach the police station and withdraw his complaint filed against the former minister.

The activist had also threatened to release the video of three more ministers of BJP. As many as six ministers later approached the court seeking injunction and were granted protection against publication of defamatory content in media.

The six ministers — Shivaram Hebbar, BC Patil, Narayana Gowda, Dr K Sudhakar, ST Somasekhar and Byrathi Basavaraj — were represented by advocate Channabasappa SN before the CCH 20-XXVI additional city civil sessions judge. In the wake of fellow-minister Ramesh Jarkiholi’s resignation over an alleged ‘sex CD’, they had sought restraining orders against TV channels and print and online media, reports theBengalurulive.
