In preparation for the winter session of the Legislature, scheduled to be held in December at the Suvarna Vidhan Soudha in Belagavi, Assembly Speaker UT Khader and Parishad President Basavaraja Horatti conducted a review of the session’s arrangements on Tuesday, November 7.

During the review, Speaker UT Khader emphasized the importance of adequately maintaining the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha, following the model set by the Bangalore Vidhan Soudha. He specifically pointed out the need to rectify certain parts of the west entrance and proposed the development of a permanent maintenance plan to ensure the Suvarna Soudha’s upkeep throughout the year.

Afterwards, Speaker UT Khader proceeded to inspect the Assembly Hall and the Speaker’s rooms. He stressed the necessity of providing essential infrastructure for the session, including loudspeakers, cleanliness, seating arrangements, electricity, internet connection, TV screens, and computers. Additionally, he suggested the installation of a large-screen TV in the assembly hall and the placement of a chart displaying the names and seat numbers of all MLAs in front of the Speaker’s chair.
