Police inspector of Shahpur police station Rajan Naik has been suspended as he falsely lodged a complaint on Madhu Kalantri and it is alleged that he also demanded money.
On last Friday night there was a squabble in Shahpur amongst youths wherein the police took the youth to the police station, where Madhu Kalantri went to see what has happened and in the mean while PI Naik charged Kalantri under IPC 307.
After the news spread a group of 500 people gathered near the Shahpur police station and asked why a charge was put on Kalantri.
It is believed that the charge was levied under pressure.
