6,24,485 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in Belagavi district so far and now the focus is on the second dose.

Covisheild vaccine recipients receive the second dose 42 days after the first vaccine.

Similarly, those receiving the COVAXIN vaccine should receive the second dose 28 days later.

Currently, only a second dose of vaccine is being issued in the district.

Eligible beneficiaries who receive the first dose vaccine will be vaccinated at district health institutions at a later date. The date of the first dose of the vaccine will be notified.

Most of the private hospitals have stopped the vaccination drive and only BIMS and the PHC’s are giving the Scond dose that too in very limited numbers.

  1. They should allow even the Private hospitals so that rush at PHCs can be avoided. At PHCs , the issue is mob , if Govt can bring in total discipline, people would willingly go to take vaccine.
If a person , 60+, has appointment for first shot, will he be denied now . When can we expect to get first shot ?
