On Monday morning Deputy commissioner S Ziaullah has given his nod for the work to commence to demolish the British era railway over bridge at Gogte circle.
Now it is left to the Railways contractor as to when he wants to commence the work.
Infact already since Sunday (8-10-2017) a JCB has been digging on the sides of Congress road, so in actual the work has begun but the traffic hasnt been blocked.
Now that the DC has given the go ahead it could be blocked anytime and work would start in full swing to make the new 4 lane RoB.
Once the RoB is closed the diversions will be in place and one can use First gate to enter and second gate would be also a one way to come on to Congress road. Same diversions as during the trial period recently.
Wah! Good..Belgaumities should cooperate for some thing good and should maintain Line Discipline.
Better the ROB should be of 6 lanes
Yes Mr. GPK 6 lanes required for this road otherwise again same problem will start after some years, so better now only start work for 6 lanes.
As they say it 4 lane bridge can’t they start 2 lane work in first phase n later remain so even to need to close the bridge

Its a bridge and not a plain road.
also plan for gogte circle to Dharmveer Sambhaji Chowk (Bogarves circle), road for 6 lanes. all the way from globe to Petrol pump is very small road on both sides of the divider. Its a traffic hazard. they are making road in street area but they forget main road in the belgaum city where traffic are more, ramlingkhind galli, ramdev gali, patil galli ect. very small small area where they are made master plan but y they are forget this road????? actual the road is required 120 feet because of current traffic in this road. if you see the traffic from ROB and congress road come to one road only which is the gogte circle to Dharmveer Sambhaji Chowk (Bogarves circle), my request is to corporation and cantonment to make the road 120 feet from gogte circle to sanchayni circle. because this road is very help full for belgaum peoples.
