The Arun theater on Congress road Belagavi which by far was the most iconic theaters built in the 70’s in Belagavi was under renovation and now it will take a rebirth with the ongoing trend and the same structure will house 3 screens which will be run by local Sai Shobha entertainment.

The outer structure will not be touched but from the inside it will house 3 screens, one on the ground floor with 636 seats and two on the first floor with 112 seats capacity.

One screen will be on of the largest measuring 30 feet in height and 60 feet in width and will have the latest 4k technology used so that the cine goers can experience true to life picture like viewing.

The entire theater would be air conditioned.

Speaking to AAB exclusively, Mahesh Kugaji of Sai Shobha Entertainments said

We have been successful in running single screens like Globe, Prakash and with the ongoing trend we have decided to start this multiplex.
We will try and preserve all the iconic and heritage status of the theater. The marble flooring, the iconic front will not be altered. Infact there is nothing much we need to remove or replace. It has been a theater which we have seen movies and grown up and now it is my turn to give the city the best multiplex in its own iconic Arun Theater.
The best of sound and picture quality is assured and we plan to open it in January 2018.

Arun Multiplex promises to be next most sought spot for cine goers and all those old memories of watching those English classics can be relived.

I still remember having seen a movie at Arun almost every sunday from 1981 to 1988.
Arun had a best selection of movies to be screened.
    Hope you keep it up.
