DC – mandatory for travelers arriving from Maharashtra to have RTPCR -ve certificate

It is mandatory for travelers crossing the state from Maharashtra to Belagavi to have a Covid negative report. According to the government guidelines, only those who have a negative report should be allowed to travel within the state.

He visited the Kogonoli and Kagawad check posts in the district on Sunday.

DC Hiremath DC H said he had held discussions with the officials and as per special surveillance measures had been taken at the state border as the number of Covid cases was on the rise in Maharashtra and Kerala.

It is mandatory for travelers arriving from Maharashtra & Kerala to get a report of the RTPCR test done which is less than 72 hours even if they are vaccinated (Single dose or double).

In the event of death or emergency medical treatment in the family, travelers who wish to enter the state should take the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) at the border check posts. “If its report is negative, they will be allowed,” he said.

Officials should check the passengers for the covid test report who are arriving by bus from a neighboring state.

All vehicles arriving by private vehicles must be accommodated only by passengers with a Covid Negative Report.

The Deputy Commissioner MG Hiremath, directed the staff of the Department of Health and Police at the border check posts to maintain proper records for vehicle inspection.

A check post near Kagawad was also inspected by District Collector Hiremath.

Superintendent of Police Lakshmana Nimbaragi said all necessary steps have been taken in check posts to comply with the government guidelines.

At the same time, DC Hiremath inspected the Krishna River flow rate near Manjari Bridge near Chikkodi.
