Deputy commissioner Belagavi MG Hiremath has written a letter to the chief secretary Karnataka state recommending the scrapping of RTPCR negative certificate for travelers from the state of Maharashtra and Goa.

The DC has made a request to the state and now it all depends on the state Govt to look into this and issue an order for the same.

As per the recommendation made all those who have taken 2 doses of the vaccine will be allowed entry and others will have to get the RTPCR negative certificate if not vaccinated or partially vaccinated.

Mind you this is just a a recommendation as of now and the state Govt has to issue an formal order of the same as the DC can’t issue such orders.
