Demand for KAT

The Belgaum Bar Association has urged the State government to commence the process of establishing the bench of Karnataka Administrative Tribunal at the earliest. Association general secretary Giriraj N. Patil said though Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Law Minister T.B. Jayachandra had assured to establish the KAT bench at Belgaum, no steps were being taken. Advocates in the district had been demanding the KAT bench since long.

  1. today i.e. 27/10/2014 the agitation continued and submitted memorandum to Deputy Commissioner. during this the Hon’ble Dinesh Gundu Rao Minister for food & civil supplies, assured the gathering of advocates to convey the sentiments/message of Belgaum Bar Association with regard to KAT to the Hon’ble Cheif Minister.
    further the Belgaum Bar Association has resolved to wait for any orders/notification till 1/11/2014. next General Body meeting of the Association is called on 3/11/2014 to discuss further plan of action.
