Dr.M.B. Boralingaiah will be the new Police Commissioner Belagavi

Dr. M.B. Boralingaiah has been promoted and posted as new Commissioner of Belagavi city.

Dr K. Thiyagarajan, IPS (KN: 2006), Deputy Inspector General & Commissioner of Police, Belagavi City is transferred with immediate effect and posted until further order as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Recruitment, Bengaluru in the existing vacancy.

Dr. M.B. Boralingaiah, IPS (KN: 2008) Superintendent of Police, Intelligence — 2 is promoted to officiate in the grade of Deputy Inspector General of Police and posted until further orders as Deputy Inspector General & Commissioner of Police, Belagavi City vice Dr. K. Thiyagarajan, IPS transferred.

Dr. M.B. Boralingaiah holds a M.B.B.S degree and is an IPS officer of 2008 batch, Dr. Boralingaiah hails from Mallanayakahalli village in Maddur taluk of Mandya district. He was born in 1978.

He completed his MBBS at the Mysore Medical College in 2004. He was successful in his third attempt in clearing the civil services examinations.

Dr. Boralingaiah was interested in public service, besides doing super-specialisation in medical course would take six years, hence he decided to take up Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations.
