Dr. Raviraj M. Kulkarni, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry, KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi, has been honoured with a grant for his research initiative Application of nanotechnology in water treatment. The research grant, Seed Money of Rs 4, 00,000/- Under Young Scientist for Research (SMYSR) sponsored by the Vision Group on Science and Technology (VGST), Government of Karnataka. It’s a privilege for the faculty & to be amongst the twenty faculty members short listed from the state of Karnataka to receive this prestigious grant.
SMYSR was envisaged by the Government of Karnataka to promote scientific research among faculty members working in colleges, universities and research institutions in the state. The grant provides seed money to young and promising researchers, His research will provide breakthrough Initiatives for the benefit for the society though efficient treatment of potable water.
