The Enforcement Directorate’s investigation involving Karnataka PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi and Excise Department official Y. D. Manjunath has now extended to premises of people closely associated with the minister in Belagavi.
Following the ED’s searches at multiple locations linked to Satish Jarkiholi and his daughter, Chikkodi MP Priyanka Jarkiholi, officials have also visited the residence of Dr. Girish Sonawalkar at Lakshmi Teldi in Belagavi.
Officials were seen examining and verifying documents at the premises. The developments are part of the wider Enforcement Directorate investigation in which premises linked to Satish Jarkiholi and several of his associates are being covered.

The ED has also visited the homes of Raju Dhargashetty and Vitthal Parasanna, who are described as close associates of Satish Jarkiholi.
The latest developments come against the backdrop of the ED’s earlier action involving Y. D. Manjunath, Additional Commissioner of Excise and Jarkiholi’s brother-in-law. In June, the agency searched multiple premises linked to Manjunath across Karnataka, including locations in Belagavi, Bengaluru and Mysuru, examining property transactions, financial records and documents.
The ED’s searches on Wednesday are understood to involve around 18 premises linked to Satish Jarkiholi, Priyanka Jarkiholi and others. The minister’s residence in Bengaluru’s Dollars Colony and premises linked to his daughter are among those covered.
The exact nature of the financial transactions being examined and the specific role of each person whose premises are being investigated have not yet been officially disclosed.
Further details are awaited as the ED operation continues.
