Belagavi/Bengaluru: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday conducted searches at multiple premises linked to Karnataka Public Works Department Minister Satish Jarkiholi, his daughter and Chikkodi MP Priyanka Jarkiholi, and others as part of an investigation.
According to officials, around 18 premises are being searched as part of the operation. These include the residence of 64-year-old Satish Jarkiholi in Bengaluruโs Dollars Colony area.
The ED searches also cover premises linked to Priyanka Jarkiholi, who represents the Chikkodi Lok Sabha constituency, officials said.
The latest searches are being described as a fresh investigation and are not linked to the earlier case involving Y D Manjunath, an Excise Department officer and brother-in-law of Satish Jarkiholi, according to officials.
The ED had earlier conducted searches in June in connection with alleged irregularities in the Karnataka Excise Department, including premises linked to Manjunath in Belagavi, Bengaluru and Mysuru. The earlier case was registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) based on a Lokayukta Police FIR.

Further details about Wednesdayโs searches, including the locations covered and the nature of the allegations in the fresh investigation, are awaited.
