An innovative event that took place on Sunday 15th January 2023 at Marriott hotel in Belagavi aimed to address the concerns dealt with in the education sector in changing times. Initiated by Chetana Sarang, founder CEO of Dattamsh Edtech LLP and The3THub (Training the Trainers), the event was attended by over a hundred educationists from the city in the field of collegiate, management and technical education.
It also marked the launch of 3THub, a platform for training teachers to stay ahead in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Teaching Skills.
Dr. Vidyashankar R., Hon. VC of VTU, delivered the keynote speech. It was followed by a glittering award ceremony acknowledging the contribution of teachers in several categories.
The highlight of the conclave was the lecture by bestselling author and innovation coach, founder of Institute for Inspiring Innovation, Naveen Lakkur, who spoke about ‘that something extra’ needed to excel in life.
Dr. Balaji Rao advised on financial wellness for teachers. Afternoon saw a panel discussion on Industry Academia Challenges- we don’t know what we don’t know, with Raj Belgaumkar, Dr. Rajaram Kudli, Anand Kadakol and Prakash Mugali being the panellists and Swatee Jog moderating it deftly.
The discussion brought about some key action points relevant for Industry, college managements and faculty alike.
Dr. Rajaram Kudli addressed the conclave in a special lecture Holistic Technical Education- Possibility or a Pipedream. The participants were in for some soulful discussion on ‘Does higher academic qualification ensure excellence in teaching? The Educator’s Conclave is the first step towards voicing concerns that plague the education world, towards leveraging the strengths of the industry-institute synergy and creating an ecosystem whereby education leads to a more productive and innovative industry.
