At present, there are 11 ESI hospitals in Karnataka including a 50 bedded ESI Scheme (ESIS) hospital at Belagavi.
As the existing hospital building at Belagavi is in dilapidated condition, the ESIC decided to construct a new hospital building there. Accordingly, it has given in-principle approval for upgradation of the bed strength of the existing hospital from 50 beds to 100 beds.
The ESIC has also requested the state government to allot 5 acres of land in the Mache area, Udhyambagh at Belagavi for construction of the hospital.
