The government will allocate 516 crore rupees annually to the Belagavi district for the Griha Jyoti scheme. Each family will receive 4 to 5 thousand rupees monthly through guarantee schemes, which should be utilized for children’s education and family maintenance. Public Works Department and District In-charge Minister Satish Jarakiholi emphasized that the effectiveness of the government’s guarantee schemes relies on proper utilization.

Speaking at the Kumar Gandharva Rangmandir in Belagavi, Minister Satish Jarakiholi launched the Griha Jyoti scheme. This scheme guarantees free electricity for up to 200 units and aims to distribute zero electricity bills to the beneficiaries.

Our government has fulfilled its promise by implementing the Griha Jyoti scheme, as guaranteed during the election. The implementation process will be completed within three months. The minister added that other guarantee schemes such as Grilahakshmi, Shakti, Annabhagya, and Yuvanidhi schemes are also being implemented.

Initially, there were concerns about how the government would finance such a substantial amount. However, the Chief Minister’s smooth implementation of this scheme has demonstrated our government’s commitment to supporting the underprivileged.

Satish Jarakiholi, Minister-in-charge of the Public Works Department and Belagavi District, urged the public to maximize this opportunity.

Under the Griha Jyoti Yojana, households will receive up to 200 units of free electricity. More than ten lakh customers in Belagavi will benefit from this scheme, and currently, 80% of customers have already registered.

We must strive to provide quality education to our children, aiming to create a better future said Minister Satish Jarakiholi
