Belgaum is all set to get a new luxury hotel from the Marriott group. Fairfield Marriott would be built at Gogte plaza Kakti on NH 4.
This project is being developed by Gogte infrastructure development corporation ltd.
Bhoomi puja for the same will take place today at 1030 am.
Fairfield Marriott is a lower cost economy hotel.
The hotel will be operational by 2018 as per official sources.

Well its a welcome development,and certainly first time for Belgaum that a professional Hotel Development and Hotel management company is invoved in development and mangement of the hotel.
having stayed in Fairfield Marriot on several occassions in many cities in North America,this is a mid segment brand of marriot,this is a value for money brand, neat clean and good and gives you a good nights sleep. this is a good addition to belgaum but location seems to be a bit out of city and marriot faifield is not known for fine dinning and great liesure facilities, but nonethe less a grat addition to the belgaum attraction.
At last a decent hotel in Belgaum.Hope it does not skim the market with exaggerated pricing!I feel it will not be a full-fledged star grade hotel but a business class – on the lines of Vivanta by Taj. Must be looking at the business from Quest, Honaga Ind. Estate, KLE Medical tourism and the Karnataka Assembly jamboree!!!
