An FIR has been lodged against 27 people, including Belagavi North legislator Anil Benake, who was present at the Buffalo race and the celebration of the coronation ceremony of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
There was wide spread criticism against BJP MLA Anil Benake for allegedly violating the Covid rules as he took part in the buffalo race in Chavat Galli on 14th Jan and the celebration of the coronation ceremony of Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj at Dharmaveer Sambhaji Maharaj Chowk on Sunday.
However, police have examined the video footage and registered an FIR under the Karnataka Epidemic Prevention Act against 27 people, including MLA Anil Benake.
