The body of Yallappa Sannagowda Gundyagola, a laborer who perished in a fire accident at the Sneham Taping Solutions at Navage village, was tragically reduced to ashes in Belagavi taluk after a fire broke out on Tuesday night.
In a solemn ceremony overseen by a senior police officer, the rescue team handed over Yallappa’s remains in a traditional clay pot to his family. To protect the pot from potential rain, the father of the deceased placed it inside a plastic bag.
Family members arrived at the site at 6 am. Colleagues of the deceased recounted that Yallappa was near the lift when the fire broke out. The rescue team discovered his ashes around 10 am on Wednesday.
Following the discovery, an inspection was conducted with officials from various departments, including the Health Department. The remains were officially handed over in the presence of senior officials, including the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), at 12:30 pm.
