Five pilgrims from Mandoli killed in a mishap near Solapur

Five pilgrims from Mandoli village who were on their way to Pandurpur were killed on the spot and seven others were injured when the car in which they were traveling rammed into a tractor-trolley near Sangola town in Solapur district in Maharashtra early Friday morning.

They were en-route to Pandharpur to take part in the Kartik Ekadashi’ rituals. The accident occurred at 4 am in the morning.

The deceased were identified as Aadha Devappa Patil (40), Krishna Vaman Goankar (50), Mahadev Kanbarkar (48), Balu Ambewadikar (50), Arun Datta Mutkekar (38)

The seven persons injured have been admitted to the hospital.

  1. Unfortunate incident. May god bless the departed souls. Lesson to be learnt:
    2am to 6am is the most dangerous time to travel in private vehicles. Take bus/ train if possible.
    Pls avoid such journeys unless absolutely necessary. If you have to travel at night in private vehicle, take frequent breaks. Let more than one person drive and drive slow.
    There must be enforcement of how many people to be allowed to travel in one vehicle. That vehicle looks like a Bolero maxitruck with cover on the back. 7 injured and 5 deceased means 12 were in that vehicle. Is that legally permitted?
    Life is very precious.

  2. RIP. Please drive safe @Everyone care other lives too. slow down ur speed if u c anyone coming across or crossing road. If u don’t do so u will drive away their lives under your wheels forever. Just to reach ur destination at earliest will u take away people’s breathe forever. So inhuman no humanity. why r u people getting rascals day by day?
