At Ganebail on the Khanapur-Belagavi new highway, it was announced that toll collection will begin on July 11. However, this decision has sparked anger among daily commuters traveling from Khanapur to Belagavi. The common people are questioning the rationale behind toll collection when the road is still incomplete. Local leaders have taken a stand against this decision, joining the protest.

They are demanding an exemption, particularly for the locals who rely on this road for transportation, including tempos carrying passengers, sand, bricks, as well as private and cargo vehicles. This demand for exemption is gaining momentum and support.
