On the day of Shree Ganesha Visarjan, it is recommended that the public Shree Ganeshotsav mandal in the city and suburbs conclude their auction program in the morning and remove their idols from the mandap early for immersion. Deputy Commissioner of Police Rohan Jagdish has also suggested that the sound system should can only be used until 10 pm during the procession.
A joint meeting was held yesterday, between the Ganeshotsav Mahamandals Corporation office bearers and police officers. Deputy Commissioner of Police Jagdish chaired the meeting and emphasized the need for cooperation among all circles to ensure the immersion procession takes place on time. It is crucial to follow the administration’s instructions to maintain law and order during the procession.
In accordance with the Supreme Court’s order, the ban on installing loud sound systems will remain in place. However, one base and one top can be installed. After 10 pm, the sound system must be switched off as per the rules. Deputy Commissioner of Police Rohan Jagdish further explained that all Ganesha mandals should start their auctions in the morning to expedite the removal of the deity from the Mandap.
Police officers have informed that a special interaction will be held with the officials and citizens of the public Shree Ganeshotsav Mandal at Chavat Galli and Khadak Galli regarding the Shree Visarjan procession. The purpose of this interaction is to address any delays in the immersion procession and identify any problems.
