The Belagavi city corporation collects Ground rent from Hawkers and street vendors, and from 26 Oct the prescribed ground rent charges have been hiked.
Rs. 10 for vendors who sit on ground per day (old rate Rs.8)
Hawkers Rs. 50 per day (Old rate Rs.10)
Bhelpuri, Icecream, Food stalls Rs 100 per day
This hike is excepted to help garner about 25,000 to the corporations treasury.
Rs. 100 for Bhelpuri, Icecream & Food stalls that’s too much, this will amount to Rs. 3000 per/month
Sir. I have to share with you that the hikes in ground rent is the burden to the CCB Bel agavi, as the hawkers not moved to the area where the traffic smoothly for public. CCB Bel agavi to think about the community center and Hawkers free zones so the presser on police department and celaning the road. I am not support the hike the hakers should be able to get the areas cleanse and garbage’s to be handed to the concerned collection Van. Like working the next day will help SAMART CITY. THANKS
