In a bid to ease vehicular traffic and prevent accidents at Chorla Ghat, the State government has barred movement of heavy vehicles along the road stretch from Goa side for a period of six months.
The District Magistrate, North Goa Smt R Menaka has extended the time period to prohibit entry and plying of heavy commercial vehicles on routes to and fro, for the period from January 1, 2020, to 30 April 2020.
The routes included are from Dattawadi, Sankhali junction to end of the Goa State border on the Goa Belagavi State Highway No.1 on Chorla Ghat.
From Primary Health Centre, Sankhali junction to end of the Goa State border on State Highway No.1 on Chorla Ghat.
Honda junction to end of the Goa State border on State Highway No.1 on Chorla Ghat.
Even now the said ban order is in force and the same has been extended until 30 April 2020.
