  1. A Fine and Noble gesture on the part of BUDA office of Belagavi(Old Belgaum) to construct a stadium for Hockey lovers and that too name the same after (Late) Bandu Patil, Indian Hockey Olympian player of the past century. If, my memory recollects. Bandhu Patil was an Army serviceman and used to play for the MLIRC Hockey team and I as a youngster I have watched him play in Belagavi way back in the 1950’s. along with Laxman Jadhav, of the Marathas ,another of our IndianOlympian Hockey Goalkeeper. Well these are the memories of yesteryears of good old Belagavi(Old Belgaum). Thanks. Jai Hind…….
