A seven-member gang who used to honey trap men have been arrested by the CCIB and Market Police station Belagavi.
The gang used to show photos of girls and then call the rich men to a lonely place or some house where they used to be photographed and then the blackmailing would commence.
The accused arrested are:
1] Vidya @ Sarika Panduranga Hawalder
2] Deepa Sandeepa Patil of Mahadwar Road
3] Mangala Dinesh Patil of Kore Galli Shahpur
4] Manohar Appasaba Payakkannwar of Halaga
5] Nagaraja Ramachandra Kadakola of Devaraja Urs Colony (is a director of KRV and also a reporter of Kannada Daily)
6] Sachin Maruthi Suthagatti of Sahyadri Nagar
7] Mohd Yusuf Mirasab Kittur of Itagi
The police nabbed the accused after a complaint was made by a victim. The police planned it well and nabbed all the accused who were doing this for months.
