Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has confirmed that he is in contact with BJP MLAs Ramesh Jarkiholi and K.S.Eshwarappa.
He clarified that their non-participation in the Council of Ministers is not a boycott, but rather a result of their desire to be cleared of all charges before returning. Bommai also revealed that the issue had been discussed during his recent visit to Delhi and that both Jarkiholi and Eshwarappa had a positive outlook. However, he noted that some details could not be disclosed to the public.
In response to KPCC President D.K.Shivakumar’s statement on a potential CBI raid, Bommai stated that the matter is pending before the constitutionally created Central Bureau of Investigation and that it will take the necessary action. He added that Shivakumar is aware of this.
Finally, Bommai denied any connection between the halal cut and the government.
